Twenty five or so years later, I am so thrilled to be beginning a new campaign for Everway with the new Everway Silver Anniversary Edition which is about to go on Kickstarter. Tonight we will step into character generation, which feels like returning to the source!

I have to say, years later... Everway is kind of a mess.
ReplyDeleteDon't get me wrong. I love Everway. I love the mythic feel, the way it encourages GM and players to think in epic ways, as if we're all playing one of the great tales from myth and legend.
But the mechanics... cutting edge in 1995... need some work today.
I've backed the new effort, and will back their future work... but the last time I ran Everway, I ported it to a more modern narrative system. I'm crossing fingers the new work will update these rules a bit.
